AI FOR GOOD

The notice

Willow Lane Tool Library

The notice has no date. All six source cards belong to this exercise.

    0 of 7 claims classified

    Where does it belong?

    Six source cards

Cards marked “Relevant” speak to the selected claim. Open any card to read it.

No source is not the same as a source that disagrees. A source can mention a topic and still leave evidence missing.

    Run this activity

    Presenter · 4 minutes

    1. Read claim 2 and find source B together. Explain why the claim is contradicted.
    2. Check claim 5. A session record does not establish who attended.
    3. Ask for a hands-up vote on claim 4, then reveal the prepared check.

    Pairs · 15 minutes

    1. Pick a claim and find the source that speaks to it.
    2. Choose a bin. Write one sentence on paper naming your source and reason.
    3. Compare with a neighbor. Name the extra evidence needed to settle missing claims.

No devices: Print or read the notice and six cards. Write S, M or C beside each claim with a source letter. Vote by hands.

Debrief: Which claims were hardest to place? When is “no evidence” the honest answer? What should the library add to its notice?

Check your reasoning: Name one claim with missing evidence and one contradicted by a source. Explain the difference.

    Prompt to reuse

For each claim, find the sources that speak to it. Decide: Supported, Missing evidence (the available sources do not establish the claim), or Contradicted (a source says something different). Write the reason in one sentence naming the source.
